The Process

Planning

Each week has a full, all-inclusive itinerary of daytime & evenings activities. Individual needs and interests are always considered and ideas welcome. You can check our website and social media sites for upcoming events.

Newcomers

Firstly, Staff will visit you at home prior to your first outing. This enables us to introduce ourselves and
gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Secondly, we complete our assessment
pack and Risk Assessments based on the information you give us. Thirdly, you will then register with
us. Finally, you will be ready to choose which Inspired Outing you want to join.

Unique door-to-door service

We offer a door-to-door service with a mileage contribution added to the cost of each excursion. We aim to limit costs where possible so you get a great experience at competitive cost.

Alternatively, there is a Drop-off and Pick -up point if you feel you would prefer this option. Where a member has chosen to have 1:1 support the mileage will be charged at 45p per mile.

Payment

We welcome different payment options, please get in touch with the friendly team and we can discuss costings and any other queries you may have. The price of the trip is calculated to include mileage contributions and other costs.

If Care Act needs have been identified through a Social Care assessment which is undertaken by the local council (Adult Services), and you’re eligible for help with any social care and support you need, you may have a personal budget allocated. This is called a ‘direct payment’, and this may be used to fund this service.

We also have the option of paying monthly for excursions, and you’re all also entitled to ‘pay as you go’. You can choose the excursions that you feel suit your budget and personal interests.

If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet!“

A Word From Our Director

As humans we dream, learn, grow and work as part of the society we are born into, it shapes our lives and identities.

I am proud to see all our customers grow and enjoy themselves as they find ways to explore their communities and the wider world. Our company values underpin everything that we are trying to achieve. The main idea is to step away from a more traditional building-based model of support to a new and different way of supporting people whilst maintaining a high-quality service focusing on socialising in small groups. We aim to give each person opportunity to explore, learn and most importantly, have lots of fun!

There is a great deal of evidence to show that socialisation not only reduces feelings of loneliness, but also helps to sharpen memory and cognitive skills, increases your sense of happiness which can lead to a greater sense of well-being and good health and a longer life.

One of my favourite quotes is “If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet”!

I look forward to the future and all the exciting plans that will come our way at Inspired Outings.

I would definitely recommend Inspired Outings. It has given my son independence away from the family setting with the added reassurance of support from great members of staff that enable him to mix with other young adults of similar ages. It has helped him enormously with his confidence and his social skills.
